Tipping is optional, but highly recommended. Several cruise lines allow you to prepay your gratuities. Gratituities are usually added automatically to your onboard account . They are usually around $10 per day per person.. Beverage service automatically adds 15% to each sale.
Packing!

Packing for vacation is fun! You have some new clothes and some old favorites; you’re going to look great! There are lists in your brochure of the types of clothes and toiletries you’ll need. I have a few suggestions about some extras your might like to include and some No-No’s for packing. Packing suggestions: 1. Pack a collapsible light-weight tote bag. You might find some bargains while traveling! 2. Pack a small pair of binoculars. You’re off to see the world! 3. Pack extra camera batteries. Wouldn’t you hate to miss a once-in-a-lifetime shot? 4. Pack your Travel Insurance coverage card & take it with you whenever you leave the ship or resort. 5. Pack a small pen light. It’ll be handy if you have to get up during the night and could be a life-saver in an emergency. 6. Pack light-weight, disposable ponchos. Don’t let a little rain spoil your day! Packing No-No’s: 1. Don’t pack alcohol unless it’s specifically allowed by your cruise line or resort. Drinks are reasonably priced and I’d hate for you to spend all afternoon on your arrival day meeting with the FTA folks. 2. Don’t pack a hairdryer. 99% of the resorts and ships supply them in your room. 3. Don’t pack an iron for a cruise. They’re a serious safety hazard. 4. Don’t pack beach/pool towels. They’re supplied for you. 5. Don’t pack more than 5 pairs of shoes! I know – it’s hard to leave them at home, but really, 5 is enough. and always remember: Happy travelers roll with the punches. I hope every moment of your vacation is perfect, but try not to let a wrinkle or two ruin your trip. Attitude is everything. Have fun; make friends; see the world!
